The LA Clippers have re-signed free agent Reggie Jackson, the team announced today.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, it’s a one-year deal.
After being waived by the Pistons in February, the 30-year-old Jackson would sign with the Clippers. In 17 games with Los Angeles last season, Jackson averaged 9.5 points, 3.2 assists, and 3.0 rebounds while shooting 41.3 percent from beyond the arc.
At times, Jackson played well for the Clippers last season and will probably have a bigger role with the team in the 2020-21 season.
The 6-foot-3 guard holds career averages of 12.8 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.0 rebounds in 561 appearances across nine NBA seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Pistons, and Clippers.
While the Clippers lost JaMychal Green and Montrezl Harrell this offseason, they were able to replace those guys with Serge Ibaka and Nic Batum, which is not bad at all, and now they retain Jackson, who will definitely give this team scoring off the bench.
