For the second consecutive season, Jaguars corner Jalen Ramsey has made the Pro Bowl. The third-year corner has three interceptions and 11 pass defenses this season.
On Wednesday, Ramsey discussed what it means for him to make the Pro Bowl in 2018:
(On making the Pro Bowl)
“It is a blessing. It is a credit to my teammates, my coaches, the fans, the opponents that voted me in. I thank God for it.”
(On making the Pro Bowl in back-to-back years)
“It is super special. Back to back. It was a goal coming into the year to be the best I can. This is a step in that direction. This season has not gone how I would have liked it to go. This is a positive end to the end of the season.”
(On his experiences last year)
“Last year was a little different circumstances. I plan on being there again. We have two games that I look forward to and staying healthy and play the best I can the last two weeks, but then hopefully I will be able to go to Orlando.”
(On if his knee injury factors into his decision to attend the Pro Bowl)
“It may. It depends. With a bruise you just have to rest and not do anything for it to get better. It is a bone bruise. It still hurts now, but the trainers have told me after the season to rest for like a week and a half or two weeks and it will be good.”
(On if the Pro Bowl voting went as expected in his opinion)
“I wish a couple more guys could have made it. Maybe they will in the coming weeks. I know some guys get added and people drop off. I don’t know logistics of how it goes, but I hope there are still some opportunities out there.”
