49ers CB Richard Sherman came back to Seattle on Sunday. While Sherman and the 49ers were routed by the Seahawks 43-16, his former teammates showed Sherman some love.
Let’s rewind to the 2013 NFC title game between the 49ers and Seahawks. With the 49ers trailing 23-17 and driving late in the 4th quarter, San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick threw a pass intended for Michael Crabtree that was tipped by Sherman and intercepted by Malcolm Smith to the send the Seahawks to the Super Bowl in a play that would later be called: “The Swat Heard Around the World.”
Today, after a Jaron Brown TD, the Seahawks reenacted that famous play:
