According to SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano, the Jets are concerned that soon to be free agent QB Kirk Cousins might be headed to Minnesota.
The Jets are said to be aware of the league-wide speculation that Cousins might be headed to the Vikings, and they are taking that threat seriously after some informal, preliminary talks with his camp this week, according to the report.
New York believes they can off a better contract, but they think Cousins might want to go to Minnesota because he wants to win right away, according to the report.
Teams can start making contact with free agents on March 12.
If were Cousins, I would go to Minnesota. The Vikings have the talent on both sides of the ball to win a Super Bowl in 2018. Also, he has already made a lot of money over the past two seasons in Washington(over $40 million), so money may not be as much of a factor for Cousins.
No matter where he goes, Cousins is going to get paid!
