Spurs G Tony Parker has a long road ahead him. Parker, who suffered a left quadriceps injury in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Rockets, is trying to work himself back from the injury.
Parker, 35, gave Argentinian TV LPG TV an update on his progress:
“It’s OK. It’s OK. It’s getting better and better. I’m starting to run like a little bit. I’m walking pretty well. I think it’s still going to be a long process. It’s still going to take like another four or five months, but I am very happy in with the progress. I am in advancing in my rehab.”
Parker his hoping to win another title for his longtime teammate Manu Ginobili. The 40-year-old Ginobili has decided to return for his 16th season:
“Hopefully we can finish with the championship for Manu’s last year,” Parker said. “Hopefully, but we never know if it’s going to be Manu’s last year. Maybe he’s going to come back again. As long as he keeps playing, everybody’s going to be happy,” Parker said.
