According to the Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero, the Miami Dolphins considered signing former NFL QB turned baseball player Tim Tebow after their starting QB Ryan Tannehill went down with a left ACL injury.
Tebow, who last played in a NFL regular season game in 2012, is currently playing minor-league baseball for the New York Mets.
Tebow did work with Dolphins head coach Adam Gase in 2011 while Gase was the QB coach in Denver. During that year, Tebow beat Pittsburgh in the first-round of the playoffs.
Ultimately, the Dolphins decided to sign Jay Cutler.
Some of the names, you should know, were eliminated very quickly.
