76ers guard and number one overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft Markelle Fultz left Saturday night’s summer league game against the Warriors with what the 76ers called a left ankle sprain. Fultz was trying to block a shot by the Warriors’ Jabari Brown when he stepped on Brown’s foot and twisted his ankle. The 19-year-old rookie had to be helped off the floor, and into the locker room. Fultz was unable to put any weight on the ankle.

The 76ers have had some bad luck with injuries with their draft picks over the years. In 2013, it was Nerlens Noel, who missed his rookie season due to injury; in 2014, it was Joel Embiid, who never played a game as a rookie due to injury, and last season it was Ben Simmons who never played a game as a rookie due to injury. Hopefully, for 76ers’ fans Fultz won’t miss any extended time.
A lot of fingers crossed in Philly!
Oh no no no.. don't do this to us
