Phil Jackson’s reign as president of basketball operations with the New York Knicks has been a failure to this point. Many have called for Jackson to lose his job.
Today, the Knicks fired the 71-year-old president of basketball operations. GM Steve Mills will take over until the team makes a new hire.
The Knicks have not made the playoffs in Jackson’s three years with the team. Furthermore, according to a report, Jackson fell asleep during a draft prospect’s workout.
The 71-year-old Jackson has two years left on the five-year, $60 million deal he signed with the team back in 2014.
