Matt Harvey suspended by Mets

Mets’ star pitcher Matt Harvey has been suspended three games for violating team rules. GM Sandy Alderson announced the suspension Sunday morning. The Mets have not disclosed the violation.

“Matt Harvey has been suspended for three days without pay for a violation of team rules and has been sent home,” Alderson said.

Harvey was scheduled to start Sunday against the Marlins. Lefty Adam Wilk will start in place of Harvey on Sunday.
