It’s the playoffs, so that means another Clippers’ injury. Blake Griffin left in the first half against the Jazz with a bruised right big toe, and never returned. According to the Clippers, X-rays were negative. Griffin will be further evaluated on Saturday. The Clips did manage to win game three in Utah 111-106.
Griffin might come back and be effective, but this a big reason why you have to break up the Clippers. Can you really trust that Blake Griffin will stay healthy? Furthermore, it boggles my mind that the Clippers did not try to get Carmelo Anthony. According to reports, the Clippers did not have to give up any of their “Big 3″(Jordan, Paul, and Griffin) to get Melo. Even if the Clippers were to get out of the first round, they are not beating GSW.
Griffin can and probably will opt out of his contract this summer. Chris Paul can do the same. With all that money out there, CP3 and BG are opting out. Decisions, decisions! This is the perfect time to rebuild or retool, but you have to do something.
Doc Rivers you have a busy summer my friend!
UPDATE: Clippers’ announced that Blake Griffin is out for the playoffs with a toe injury!
Doc said Blake Griffin will get a CAT scan and there will be an update Sat. morning. #Clippers #ItTakesEverything
