Russell Westbrook’s magical season continued last night in Toronto. Westbrook notched his 34th triple-double in a 123-102 victory over the Raptors.
Westbrook, who had 28 pts, 16 asts, and 10 rebs last night, needs seven more triple-doubles to match Oscar Robertson’s record 41 in the 1961-62 season. The Thunder are now 28-6 when Westbrook records a triple-double.
At this point, Westbrook and the Thunder have 14 games left. He needs eight to surpass the “Big O.” That won’t be easy, but not out of the realm of possibility for Westbrook.
Westbrook’s next opportunity to get triple-double number 35 comes Saturday night against the Kings.
