La La Anthony: Carmelo wants to stay close to his son

Knicks president Phil Jackson has been on record as saying that he would like to trade Carmelo Anthony. However, Anthony has a full no-trade clause, and at this point, he has not been willing to waive it.  Currently, Anthony and his wife La La are separated. Today, La La told The Wendy Williams Show that she would like to continue to live in New York. Also, she told Williams that Carmelo’s ultimate goal is to be near his son.

“Everyday I see a different team, that’s for sure. The most important thing with that is just to stay close to Kiyan(Carmelo & La La’s son). That’s my priority, that’s his priority,” La La told Williams.

Since La La wants to be in New York, and because Melo wants to be near his son, it’s only logical to believe that Carmelo wants to stay in New York. Now, being close to New York could mean Philly, Boston, Washington, or even Cleveland.

Maybe Melo will be bought out, and from there, he can figure out his next destination.
