Jaguars waive LB Ty Summers

The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived LB Ty Summers, the team announced Saturday.

Summers, who was waived by the Packers this week and claimed by Jacksonville, was originally drafted in the seventh round (226th overall) by Green Bay in the 2019 Draft.

Jacksonville could still add Summers to their practice squad if he goes unclaimed.

The 26-year-old appeared in 46 games with one start. He has 23 total tackles, one fumble recovery, and one pass defensed. He also has added 14 special teams tackles.

The San Antonio, Texas native played college football at TCU, where he totaled 315 tackles (166 solo), 23 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, and two interceptions in 50 career games.
