Well, there was much more suspense this year, but in the end, we got Warriors-Cavaliers Part 4. Both the Cavaliers and Warriors had to win Game 7s on the road to make it happen. Cleveland won in Boston 87-79, while the Warriors went into Houston and the beat the Rockets 101-92.
Game 1 of the NBA Finals is Thursday at Oracle Arena.
On paper, the Warriors look like the much better team, but the Cavaliers do have LeBron James, so anything is possible.
According to Hall of Famer and TNT NBA analyst Shaquille O’Neal, the Warriors will beat the Cavaliers for the third time in four years.
Here is what Shaq had to say on Monday night:
Yesterday, a report surfaced that the Knicks were possibly interested in moving Kristaps Porzingis. Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal thinks it’s a bad idea. When asked by TMZ Sports should the Knicks trade Porzingis, Shaq had this to say:
“I’d say no. You keep Porzingis, and trade everybody else around him, and try to build around him. This kid has a bright future. He’s working out all summer,” Shaq said. “I know the guy he’s working out with Carlton Colker, A guy I used to workout with. A guy that helped me win championships. So, he’s getting stronger. He’s definitely in the weight room. He’s not the type of guy that you give up.”
I’m with Shaq. You can’t trade a 21-year old with that size and skill. However, these are the Knicks we’re talking about!
LaVar Ball wants it to happen, Lonzo Ball wants it to happen, but does Magic and the Lakers want it to happen? Last night, the lottery balls had the Lakers at number two in the NBA Draft. Will the Lakers draft Ball at two?
Former Laker star and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal gave TMZ Sports his thoughts on what the Lakers might do with the number two pick:
“There’s a lot of speculation they going to dangle it to other teams, and possibly get a big free agent, and then, there’s another speculation that they may take the (Lonzo) Ball kid.”
Shaq went on to say that he would NOT be scared to draft Lonzo Ball, and believes he will be a “fabulous player.”
Take a listen:
Shaquille O’Neal will be forever immortalized! The Lakers will unveil Shaq’s statue Friday night at Staples Center. The statue will sit outside the Lakers’ home arena.
The Lakers, who are in rebuild mode, are longing for the glory days of Shaq and Kobe! New President of Basketball Operations Magic Johnson has a long road ahead, but we have all summer to worry about that!
Add Shaq to list of those who believe that the earth is not round, but flat. Kyrie Irving ‘s belief that the earth is flat was the talk of All-Star weekend, and now Shaq has joined the conversation. Shaq shared his ideas about the earth on “The Big Podcast with Shaq.”
“It’s true. The Earth is flat. The Earth is flat. Yeah, it is. Yes, it is. Listen, there are three ways to manipulate the mind — what you read, what you see and what you hear. In school, first thing they teach us is, ‘Oh, Columbus discovered America,’ but when he got there, there were some fair skinned people with the long hair smoking on the peace pipes. So what does that tell you? Columbus didn’t discover America. So, listen, I drive from coast to coast, and this sh_t is flat to me. I’m just saying, I drive from Florida to California all the time, and it’s flat to me. I do not go up and down at a 360-degree angle, and all that stuff about gravity. Have you looked outside Atlanta lately and seen all these buildings? You mean to tell me that China is under us? China is under us? It’s not. The world is flat.”
Is the earth round or flat? I don’t know, but nothing would surprise me.
The beef between Shaquille O’Neal and Javale McGee continues on. Now, Shaq is giving Kevin Durant the business too! Durant, who came out in defense of McGee, received a couple tweets from “The Diesel.”
