Richard Sherman on the move?

Seahawks’ coach Pete Carroll talked about the possibility of moving star corner Richard Sherman today.  Sherman, 28, is still one of the elite corners in the NFL. Either the Seahawks are tired of him, or maybe they feel he is on the decline.

Here is what Carroll had to say about Sherman at the league meetings:

You’re either competing or you’re not. And so we’ve always had to be open for everything, every suggestion that comes along. “There have been some teams that have called, and so we’ve talked about it. But he’s extremely important to our football team.

“I don’t see anything happening at all. And I don’t see anything happening with any other players, just the banter that’s out there right now. But it has been talked about. He’s a great player and can impact another team. I can see why people would be interested in him.”

I would be stunned if Sherman is moved!

Marshawn Lynch’s agent: ‘He’s got a lot of money’

Over the past week, there has been some talk about the possible return of former Seahawks’ RB Marshawn Lynch. One team that was reportedly interested was Lynch’s hometown team the Oakland Raiders. Lynch’s agent Doug Hendrickson told KNBR in San Francisco that nothing would surprise him with Lynch:

“He’s one of the most unique guys I’ve ever been with in my life. Marshawn, it wouldn’t shock me in three days if he says, ‘Hey, I want to play.’ It wouldn’t shock me if he says, ‘Nah, I don’t know where this came from. I don’t want to play.”

Also, Hendrickson discussed Lynch’s financial situation:

“He doesn’t spend any of the money he’s made. He’s got a lot of money.”

Hendrickson did add that Lynch misses football.

We’ll see what the future holds for Lynch!

Marshawn Lynch should stay away from football

According to reports, the Oakland Raiders are thinking about trying to acquire retired RB Marshawn Lynch. Lynch, 30, who retired after the 2015 season, is the property of the Seattle Seahawks.  The Seahawks could either release Lynch and let him negotiate with the Raiders, or the Raiders and Seahawks can work out a trade.

Lynch will be 31 in April; he has not played in over a year. Lynch took a pounding throughout his nine-year career. “Beast Mode” played in only seven games in 2015.  If Lynch is interested, and the Raiders can get him at a good price tag, why not give him a chance. For Lynch, who is from Oakland, it would be an opportunity to play in front of his hometown fans.

If I was Lynch, and I don’t know his financial situation, I would stay far away from football. I think his body was telling him enough is enough in 2015, and when your body speaks, you better listen!

Don’t do it Marshawn!!

Lacy to the Seahawks

The Seahawks may have finally found their replacement for Marshawn Lynch. Lacy and the Seahawks agree to a one-year deal, at 5.55 million(3 million guaranteed). This is an opportunity for both parties. An opportunity for Seattle to solidify their running back situation, and an opportunity for Lacy to prove himself.  If Lacy can dominate, maybe he can paid next season. A motivated, in shape Eddie Lacy, could be an upgrade in Seattle.
