Shaq to Kevin Durant: “Mind yo business”

The beef between Shaquille O’Neal and Javale McGee continues on. Now, Shaq is giving Kevin Durant the business too!  Durant, who came out in defense of McGee, received a couple tweets from “The Diesel.”

No Ben Simmons this year!

The Philadelphia 76ers announced on Friday that rookie Ben Simmons is out for the year. According to the 76ers, Simmons foot is not completely healed.

I guess he is on the Nerlens Noel, Joel Embiid plan (both players did not play as rookies).

I guess the good news for Simmons is he is still eligible to win Rookie of the Year next season.

Do Philly fans still #TrustTheProcess?

Nerlens Noel to Mavericks

The 76ers finally traded a center, but it is not who you thought it would be. 76ers send Nerlens Noel to the Mavericks for Justin Anderson, Andrew Bogut and 2017 1st round pick(which is top 18 protected; can convert to two 2nd rounders).

Analysis: Bogut probably will be bought out. The Mavericks probably won’t make the playoffs, so the 1st rounder will convert to two 2nd round picks. The 76ers get some value for a player that they probably were not going to re-sign(Noel restricted free agent at end of the year), and the Mavericks get a young, shot blocking, athletic big in Noel. Maybe Noel helps the Mavericks make a playoff push.

NBA: Deals that did not get done!

NBA trade deadline has came and went. The best thing about the trade deadline sometimes are the deals that were not done. Here are a few:

Philadelphia 76ers might be busy before the trade deadline

According to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Philadelphia 76ers have traded Ersan Ilyasova to the Hawks for Tiago Splitter and two second-round picks. Also, Wojnarowski is reporting that the 76ers and Bulls are still talking about a possible swap for Jahlil Okafor.

Hopefully there will be some big moves come Thursday!

Magic is back!

I guess it was time for change! Gone are Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss, and in are the new president of basketball operations the great Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka. They have a lot of work to do, but they have some talent in Lakerland. It may take a few years to get it right, but time will be the judge of whether or not this was a good hire. The Lakers needed a jolt, and maybe this was the jolt they needed! I can’t wait for the three team deal involving Magic, Bird and Jordan!

Boogie on the move!

Well it finally happened! The Kings made the move and traded Demarcus Cousins, Omri Casspi to the Pelicans for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first round pick(top 3 protected) and 2017 second round pick.

Now, the Pelicans could possibly have the most talented center/power forward combination ever.(time will be the judge of that one) However, for the Kings it is rebuild time, but it was a move that had to be made!
