The number 32 has been a thorn in the side of Kentucky basketball over the years. First, it was Duke’s Christian Laettner, and now its UNC’s Luke Maye. Maye, who hit the games winning shot in UNC’s 75-73 victory over Kentucky, wears number 32 like Laettner.

Georgetown University fired their head coach John Thompson III today. Thompson III spent 13 years at Georgetown.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, former Georgetown great and Charlotte Hornets’ associate head coach Patrick Ewing may have a level of interest in Georgetown, but Ewing is said to want a NBA job. It makes perfect sense for Ewing to return to Georgetown. He might be the greatest player in the history of Georgetown basketball. However, Wojnarowski points out that Ewing’s son was on Thompson III’s staff, and Ewing is loyal to the Thompson family.
Hopefully, Ewing can get a NBA coaching job in the near future.
