Jay Cutler to FOX Sports?

Jay Cutler may follow in the footsteps of Tony Romo, and head off to the broadcast booth.

According to ESPN, Cutler had an audition at FOX Sports on April 27. He would be replacing John Lynch, who is now the GM in San Francisco.

Cutler, 34, was released by the Bears in March. At this point, he has not been able to catch on with another team.

Cutler’s agent told the NFL Network that the QB still wants to play.

Shooting at Busch Stadium

According to the St. Louis PD, a 34-year-old woman was hit by a stray bullet during the Brewers-Cardinals game on Tuesday night.

The Cardinals released a statement about the incident:

We are aware of an incident last night in which a fan reported being struck by a stray bullet that presumably originated from outside of the stadium. The fan was treated for an abrasion and a bruise on her arm at First Aid and released. She was interviewed by police who are investigating the matter. There is nothing more important than the safety of our fans, and the Cardinals are grateful that no one was seriously injured. We will be sharing more information with the media as further details emerge.

Pretty scary stuff!

Celtics’ Isaiah Thomas getting advice from Kobe

Isaiah Thomas did it all last night in game 2 against the Wizards. When they needed him the most(4th Qtr & OT), Thomas scored 29 of his career high 53 points, and he did it on his late sister Chyna’s 23rd birthday. Why has Thomas been playing so well? We may have found the reason. According to A. Sherrod Blakely, Thomas has been doing some film study with the “Mamba.” He has been getting support from Kobe Bryant since game 2 against the Bulls.

“He was going over my film with me, and teaching me things he looks at when he watches film. That’s probably been a big help for me,” Thomas said.

Thomas said Bryant reached out to him after the death of his sister.

If he keeps playing like this, Thomas might need talk to Bryant all the time.

Floyd Mayweather on whether Conor McGregor could beat him: ‘Anything can happen in the sport of boxing’

Floyd Mayweather knows how to sell a fight. Now, Floyd is trying to sell a fight with Conor McGregor.

Mayweather told TMZ Sports that McGregor might have a shot to beat him. “I’ve been off for a couple years and I’m 40 years old now. So, I’m a lot older and he’s still in his 20s and I’m in my 40s now. So that could play a major key, we don’t know. And he’s a heavy hitter.”

“Does he have a good chance of upsetting Floyd Mayweather? I can’t say, but anything can happen in the sport of boxing,” Mayweather told TMZ.

Isaiah Thomas drops 53 points; Boston takes 2-0 series lead

Isaiah Thomas is doing some amazing things in these playoffs. However, Tuesday’s performance was extra amazing. Thomas scored a career high 53 points on 18-33 from the field. He scored 29 points in 4th quarter and OT, as the Celtics beat the Wizards 129-119 in OT to take a 2-0 series lead. He did all this on his late sister Chyna’s 23rd birthday.  Meanwhile, for the Wizards, John Wall had 40 points!

What an amazing run for Thomas and the Celtics. Boston has now won five straight games in these playoffs after losing the first two games to the Bulls. Thomas becomes the only player in Celtics’ history to score 50 points in the regular and postseason in the same season. Thomas falls one point short of the Celtics’ record for most points in a playoff game (Havlicek 54pts). It is amazing to see a little guy like Thomas put up these ridiculous numbers. It’s impossible to root against this guy, but this series is not over.

Expect the Wizards to play well in Washington!

Fenway shows Adam Jones some love!

Yesterday, Orioles’ OF Adam Jones was called the “N” word and had peanuts thrown at him in Boston. Today, Red Sox’s fans tried to make up for those despicable acts. During his first at-bat, Jones received a standing ovation. The Boston Red Sox organization has since apologized to Jones.

Dwight Howard: ‘I came here(Atlanta) to win’

LeBron James went home, and won a championship in Cleveland. Dwight Howard went home, and the Hawks went out in the first-round.

“I didn’t come back here just to come back home. I came here to win,” Howard told reporters. Also, Howard was not happy with his role in Atlanta.

“I want to play. I want to be out on the floor. I want to make a difference. I want to make an impact, and I can’t do that on the bench.” Howard told reporters.

The 31-year-old Howard averaged only 8 ppg in the playoffs, and was not much a factor against the Wizards.

Howard signed a 3-year, 70.5 million dollar deal with the Hawks last summer. Atlanta might be stuck with him, so I guess they will have to make it work!

Sources: LaVar Ball looking to sell $200 sneakers

LaVar Ball is looking to build an empire. At this point, he has not been able to lock up a partnership with any of the big sneaker companies. Well, maybe he will go a different route. According to The Vertical, LaVar Ball is looking to sell his “Big Baller Brand” sneakers for around 200 dollars, which according to The Vertical, would be Lonzo Ball’s signature sneaker

Is Lonzo Ball that popular?

I wonder how many shoes they can sell at that price point?  Is LaVar on to something, or delusional?

Also, according to The Vertical, Ball’s representatives have also reached out to Chinese-based companies.

We shall see how this all goes!
