The 76ers finally traded a center, but it is not who you thought it would be. 76ers send Nerlens Noel to the Mavericks for Justin Anderson, Andrew Bogut and 2017 1st round pick(which is top 18 protected; can convert to two 2nd rounders).
Analysis: Bogut probably will be bought out. The Mavericks probably won’t make the playoffs, so the 1st rounder will convert to two 2nd round picks. The 76ers get some value for a player that they probably were not going to re-sign(Noel restricted free agent at end of the year), and the Mavericks get a young, shot blocking, athletic big in Noel. Maybe Noel helps the Mavericks make a playoff push.
NBA trade deadline has came and went. The best thing about the trade deadline sometimes are the deals that were not done. Here are a few:
Back on 1/19/13 we were joined by former NBA star Antoine Walker; who discussed trash talking in the NBA, athletes and money, playing again in the NBA, the Lakers and more..

According to The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Philadelphia 76ers have traded Ersan Ilyasova to the Hawks for Tiago Splitter and two second-round picks. Also, Wojnarowski is reporting that the 76ers and Bulls are still talking about a possible swap for Jahlil Okafor.
Hopefully there will be some big moves come Thursday!
Watch what you do on social media! According to former NFL player Fernando Bryant, his wife’s Instagram post from three years ago cost him his job. Bryant, who was drafted in the first-round by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1999, was the head coach for Strong Rock Christian School. Bryant’s termination letter cites social media as a reason for his firing.
Here is the story from WXIA’s Alex McQuade:
Via Dave Carmichael, Demarcus Cousins says goodbye to the fans of Sacramento. We saw the sensitive side of Boogie Cousins. Take a look!
I guess it was time for change! Gone are Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss, and in are the new president of basketball operations the great Magic Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka. They have a lot of work to do, but they have some talent in Lakerland. It may take a few years to get it right, but time will be the judge of whether or not this was a good hire. The Lakers needed a jolt, and maybe this was the jolt they needed! I can’t wait for the three team deal involving Magic, Bird and Jordan!
This has been out there for awhile now, but don’t be surprised if Desean Jackson is wearing midnight green again. Jackson was a guest on Adam Schefter’s podcast “Know Them From Adam” where he had some interesting things to say about a possible return to Philadelphia:
“It definitely is a great story, I guess you could say. Starting your career somewhere and obviously going to a division rival team and having the possibility of maybe going back. I mean you kind of just think about all of that, where you started from and maybe where you want to finish it. It’s just a lot of speculation of a lot of thoughts. It almost sounds good but you never really know until the final decision is made. But I’m just a firm believer of you work hard, you put in the work, and continuously go out there and show everyone what you’re capable of doing. I think the sky is the limit for me. My agent, Joel Segal, is in a great position. I’m in a great position. Really I’m just going to let him be the expertise guy. He’s the one with all the experience. He’s been doing this for plenty of years. With the conversations we’ve been having, it’s great on our end. The best thing we need to do is stay under the radar, me continuously working out, and from there we’ll just sit back and see what teams are putting out there.”
The Eagles need a wide receiver, and Jackson might fit the bill. We’ll see how this plays out!
Well it finally happened! The Kings made the move and traded Demarcus Cousins, Omri Casspi to the Pelicans for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first round pick(top 3 protected) and 2017 second round pick.
Now, the Pelicans could possibly have the most talented center/power forward combination ever.(time will be the judge of that one) However, for the Kings it is rebuild time, but it was a move that had to be made!
