After falling to the Boston Celtics on Sunday, the Orlando Magic will participate in the 2026 NBA Play-In Tournament as the 8th seed.
Orlando will travel to the 7th-seed Philadelphia 76ers, who beat the Bucks tonight, on Wednesday, April 15. Game time is 7:30 p.m. ET(Amazon Prime).
This season, the 76ers won the season series 2-1.
The winner of the April 15 game will earn the 7th-seed in the Eastern Conference and face the #2-seed Boston Celtics in the First Round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, while the loser of the April 15 game will host the winner of the 9th-seed(Hornets) vs. 10th-seed(Heat) game on Friday, April 17 (7:30 p.m. ET, Amazon Prime).
The winner of that game will earn the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference and face the number 1-seeded Detroit Pistons in the First Round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, while the losing team will be eliminated.
The NBA Play-In Tournament will determine the teams that fill the seventh and eighth seeds in each conference for the NBA Playoffs. The teams with the seventh-highest and eighth-highest winning percentages in each conference will each have two opportunities to win one game to earn a playoff spot.
The teams with the ninth-highest and 10th-highest winning percentages in each conference will each have to win two consecutive games to earn a playoff spot.
