Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic has been named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, March 16, through Sunday, March 22, the league announced on Monday.

The weekly honor is his league-leading fourth of the season, including his second straight.

In a perfect 4-0 road swing with victories over Houston (twice), Miami and Orlando, Doncic averaged 42.3 points on 50.0% shooting from the field, 39.0% from 3-point range and 72.3% from the free-throw line, along with 6.8 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 3.0 steals in 38.5 minutes. The 27-year-old topped 30 points in all four games and recorded his first 60-point performance as a Laker, further underscoring his MVP-caliber season.

He became the seventh player in Lakers history to record a 60-point game and the ninth to post multiple 50-point performances with the franchise. He closed the week with 33 points in a win over Orlando March 21, recording his 40th 30-point game of the season. With the performance, Doncic became the fourth Laker in history to reach the mark and the first player in NBA history to score 30-plus in nine consecutive victories.

Doncic, who recently set the Lakers single-season record for 3-pointers made, is averaging an NBA-best 33.4 points along with 7.9 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 35.8 minutes in 59 total contests (all starts).
