Grizzlies’ Clarke to miss three weeks with calf injury

On Monday, the Memphis Grizzlies provided the following medical update on forward Brandon Clarke:

Clarke, 29, sustained a Grade 2 right calf strain in the first quarter of the Grizzlies’ home game Saturday against the Washington Wizards.

He will be reevaluated in approximately three weeks.

Clarke, who was ruled out for the season in March after being diagnosed with a sprained PCL, returned recently after dealing with right knee synovitis. He has appeared in two games this season.

Memphis has again battled injuries this season and is currently 13-15. The Grizzlies, who will be without seven players, including Ja Morant and Zach Edey, when they return to action on Monday night on the road against the Thunder.
