Vikings’ Rodgers on Hurts: ‘He can do it all’

On Sunday, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts delivered a standout performance against the Minnesota Vikings, a team known for their strong defense. His exceptional play was a key factor in the Eagles 28-22 victory.

Hurts completed 19-of-23 attempts for 326 yards, three touchdowns(all for 25-plus yards), and a perfect 158.3 passer rating. He became the third player in Eagles history to post a perfect passer rating, joining Nick Foles and Donovan McNabb.

This season, Hurts has four passing touchdowns of 30-plus yards, which is second in the NFL.

In addition, the two-time Pro Bowler has recorded two-plus offensive touchdowns in each of his last five games, marking the longest active streak in the NFL.

Minnesota Vikings corner Isaiah Rodgers, who played for the Eagles last season, and was beaten on DeVonta Smth’s 79-yard touchdown reception, and A.J. Brown’s huge 45-yard reception to help the Eagles salt the game away, says Hurts can do it all.

“Despite what everybody says in the media, he wins the games,” Rodgers said after the loss. ”You know, I think that’s the only thing that matters is a quarterback in the league. You know, one day he can throw for 300 like he did today, and one day he can throw for 20 yards next week, so he finds ways to win games and those type of quarterbacks that you want… He can do it all. He can run, he can pass.”

Hurts is 51-22 as a starter in the regular season, has been to two of the last three Super Bowl, and is a Super Bowl champion and MVP, so yeah, all he does is win, but he did a little more than that on Sunday. He didn’t carve up an average defense; he carved up one of the better defenses in the NFL. Hopefully, the Eagles passing game, which has had issues this season, will continue to grow.
