Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison is suspended without pay for the first three games of the 2025 regular season for violating the NFL’s Substances of Abuse Policy, the league announced Tuesday.
The suspension is based on an incident that happened in July 2024. The 23-year-old Addison was charged with a DUI and driving over the legal limit of alcohol in the state of California.
He pleaded no contest on July 17, 2025, to a lesser charge, which was a charge of wet reckless (reckless driving involving alcohol); Addison was fined and sentenced to 12 months’ probation for the incident.
Addison will miss the following three games for the Vikings: @Bears, Falcons, and Bengals, and will return Week 4 against the Steelers.
He is permitted to participate in all training camp activities, including preseason games, without restriction.
It’s a blow to the team as the third-year wide receiver, who had an impressive 63 receptions for 875 yards and nine touchdowns in 2024.
