The Dallas Mavericks had a 1.50% chance of winning the Draft Lottery, which took place in Chicago on Tuesday, and that 1.50% was all they needed.

The Mavs won the Draft Lottery and will have the number one selection in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Dallas, who entered the night in the 11th slot, are expected to select former Duke star Cooper Flagg

This is only the second time in team history that Dallas has secured the first-overall selection, the first being in the second-ever draft in Mavericks franchise history in 1981 when they picked Mark Aguirre from DePaul.

The Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to the Lakers in February, and now they will have a young star in Flagg who can be the face of the franchise.

The 2025 NBA Draft will take place June 25-26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
