Magic’s Banchero named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Mar. 30, 2025, the NBA announced Monday.

During four games last week (Mar. 24-30), Banchero averaged 30.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per contest, while shooting .543 (44-81) from the field and helping Orlando post a 3-1 record.

He led (or tied) the Magic in scoring three times, in rebounding once and in assists three times. Banchero scored 20+ points in all four games and had 30+ points three times. He has scored 20+ points in 16 consecutive games, dating back to Feb. 25. Banchero also scored 30+ points in five straight outings from Mar. 19-27, tied for the fourth-longest streak in franchise history.

Banchero has played and started in 41 games this season for Orlando, averaging 25.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per contest.
