All-Star Luka Doncic made history on Saturday night when he recorded an NBA record six straight 30-point triple-double.

Doncic scored 26 of his game-high 39 points in the first half, to go along with ten rebounds and ten assists. More importantly, the Mavs (36-28) won their second straight as they defeated the Pistons (10-53) on the road 142-124.

In addition, Doncic extended his NBA record for most 35-point triple-doubles in a row(5).

Throughout his five-year career, Doncic has played at a high level, and he believes that this season has been his best year as a pro.

“I think it’s my best season for sure; I think so, Doncic said. “Still got a lot to improve.”

Mavs center Daniel Gafford, who was 7/7 from the field and scored 17 points, is amazed by Doncic.

“It’s amazing to see,” Gafford said. “Night in and night out what he brings to the game, and how he manipulates the game and just puts it in our favor.”

The five-time All-Star is playing elite basketball, and in this game, Piston fans were yelling, “Luka sucks,” which he loves to hear.

“I love it,” he said. “They know it’s not true.”

Mavs head coach Jason Kidd added: “Well, we know he doesn’t suck.”

Clearly, Doncic doesn’t suck, and clearly, what he’s doing right now is very special. He’s scoring at a high level and impacting the game with his passing and work on the boards. Doncic is having an MVP-caliber season, and with the MVP race being so wide-open, he has shot.

Dallas gets back it on Monday night when they travel to Chicago to face the Bulls.
