The Philadelphia 76ers announced on Friday the team’s roster and schedule for both the Salt Lake City Summer League (July 3-6) and NBA Summer League 2023 in Las Vegas (July 7-17).
76ers head coach Nick Nurse will coach the team in Salt Lake City, and a coach to be determined later will lead the team in Las Vegas.
Entering his third NBA season, 2022-23 NBA G League Finals MVP Jaden Springer headlines a 76ers summer league roster that features 2021 NBA Draft selection Filip Petrušev, and the trio of Ricky Council IV, Terquavion Smith, and Ąžuolas Tubelis.
Petrušev played in 72 games (34 Euroleague, 33 Liga ABA, five tournament play) for Serbian club Crvena zvezda, averaging 11.0 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 57.3% from the field. Petrušev helped lead the team to its 23rd Basketball League of Serbia title, the most in league history.
Council IV appeared in 36 games (29 starts) collegiately with the University of Arkansas in 2022-23, where he led the team in scoring at 16.1 points per game to go along with 3.6 rebounds, earning Second Team All-SEC honors.
Smith spent the past two seasons at North Carolina State University, where he averaged 17.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 66 career games (59 starts). The Atlantic Coast Conference’s second-leading scorer as a sophomore this past season.
Originally from Lithuania, Tubelis was a consensus 2022-23 Second Team All-American as a junior at the University of Arizona, averaging 19.8 points on 57.0% shooting and 9.1 rebounds in 35 games (34 starts).
The 76ers will tip off their summer action on Monday, July 3 against Memphis (7:00 p.m. ET). After three games in Salt Lake City, the 76ers open action in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 8 against New York (5:00 p.m. ET).
