We waited all summer for LeBron James to make his regular season debut with the Lakers. Well, come Thursday night the wait will be over. James will make his Lakers’ debut on the road against the Blazers.
James, 33, is a four-time MVP winner, and according to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, James will win another MVP award this season.

I don’t think James will win the MVP this season. I just don’t think the Lakers will be good enough. The MVP usually goes to the best player on the best team, unless you do something extra special like what OKC’s Russell Westbrook did when he averaged a triple-double in the 2016-17 season.
I don’t see James doing anything extra special this season. Therefore, he will not win the MVP award in the 2018-19 NBA season.
