Jack on win over Pats: ‘Hopefully, with this game, we get the respect that we deserve’

The Jacksonville Jaguars sent a message to the Patriots and the rest of the NFL that they are still for real. With great play out of their QB Blake Bortles(29-45, 377 YDS, 4 TDs) and a smothering defense, the Jaguars were able to dominate the Patriots 31-20 in Jacksonville on Sunday. This was a rematch of last season’s AFC title game. A game that Patriots won in comeback fashion in Foxboro.

After making it to the AFC title game last season, much more is expected out the Jaguars than in previous seasons, and with the popularity of star corner Jalen Ramsey, the Jaguars are getting a lot of media attention, which is a good thing according to LB Myles Jack.

“It’s dope. I mean I remember the year when we were 3-13, and it was depressing around here, and then last year you start to see kind of getting the fans back into it and the media starts coming,” Jack said after the game.  “And then today we won a big game like this, and now you see 50 people around Jalen (Ramsey). It’s definitely cool man, to see the growth of the team as opposed to two years ago and now everybody is talking about us. And hopefully with this game, we get the respect that we deserve, and we just got to continue to win.”

If Bortles continues to play as he did on Sunday, and that Jaguars defense continues to swarm, this team will continue to get a lot more attention and much more respect moving forward.
